Anna Gwozdz is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and practices as a Psychotherapist and Clinical Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Honours, in addition to the countless independent therapy hours and extracurricular trainings she has accrued throughout her educational and professional career.

Throughout her schooling and after, Anna spent several years working in an intensive therapeutic program for severely traumatized children, adolescents, and their adult caretakers, supporting all ages in overcoming trauma, building and maintaining healthy relationships, and working through extremely difficult emotions, behaviours, and habits. She then spent a few years working in a private healthcare clinic alongside some of the best practitioners in the field, and continues to maintain a strong network of trusted healthcare professionals whom she is happy to consult with or refer to in the event that you need additional support during your therapeutic journey. Working in such environments allowed Anna to further sharpen her knowledge of the connection between brain, mind, body, and self, which she seamlessly integrates into her approach to mental health.

All the intricacies of the human experience have been a point of fascination for Anna throughout much of her life, but she has always taken a special interest in understanding how and why humans hurt other humans and, equally importantly, how we can work through and transcend that hurt. These questions naturally led Anna down a path of learning about trauma, with a special focus on repressed childhood trauma, and prompted her to open her private practice so that she could do her small part in ridding the world of such pain, one person at a time. In addition to working directly with traumatized populations, Anna loves to see clients who are struggling with relationship issues, family conflict, anxiety, depression, identity problems, low self-esteem, or those who simply can’t put their finger on what’s wrong but know something is.

Aside from a sincere passion for mental health and helping others navigate all the things that make us human, Anna loves to go camping in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter. She spends much of her free time listening to music or podcasts, watching movies or reading, trying out new recipes, going for walks, or simply hanging out with her friends and loved ones, including her cat, Bean!

If you’ve never gone to therapy and are nervous about taking the leap, get in touch with Anna for a free consult. Her genuine, down-to-earth style and kind, inviting demeanor make her a master at helping others feel warm, welcome, and heard. She will hear you out, free of any judgement, and will guide you to make the best decisions for yourself, whether that means sticking with her as your therapist or referring you to someone else who might be a better fit. For further information on Anna, visit https://www.bespokeclinicalcounselling.ca.

“I offer a strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach. That means I know you already have what it takes to overcome and surpass anything you’ve been through or may still be going through…we may just need to throw in a few new tools, do a little digging together to make sure you’re functioning to the best of your abilities, and address anything from your past that may be blocking you from living the life you want.

Therapy isn’t always about rain clouds and tears. It’s important to sprinkle some fun in there, too! I’ll make sure we never forget to celebrate your wins and that we have some laughs along the way. I cannot wait to meet you.” -Anna Gwozdz CCC, HonMACP, BAPsych

Although her breadth of treatment is wide, her special interests lie in pediatric health and development, female and male fertility, pregnancy, pre and post natal care and chronic medical conditions.

Hillary holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and Kinesiology degree from the University of Western Ontario and received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. My Approach

I focus on three key aspects: 1. Understanding your unique health story 2. Diagnosing the root cause of your symptoms 3. Treating underlying issues while alleviating symptoms with targeted therapies

Patient-centred care is central to my practice. Each person is different, so I create personalized treatment plans. In our first meeting, I ask detailed questions to understand your health history and, if necessary, conduct relevant tests. This helps us create an action plan that addresses the root cause(s) of your concerns.

Integrative Neuropsychiatry

I specialize in integrative neuropsychiatry, combining the principles of psychiatry, naturopathic medicine, and counselling. This holistic approach considers both the biochemical and psychological aspects of mental health. My treatments may include nutrient supplementation, herbal extracts, intramuscular injections, intravenous (IV) therapies, acupuncture, clinical counselling, and lifestyle optimization.

I believe in a minimalist approach to supplements, focusing on what is necessary and specific. My experience in IV therapy is extensive, having treated thousands of patients with high-dose nutrients for rapid healing.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology, University of Victoria (2007)
  • Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (2011)

Years ago, Chloé was looking for a new challenging adventure, so she moved to Calgary to enjoy the wide open space and the mountains.

Chloé has been in practice for 15 years, after graduating with honours from the six-year program at the Institut Supérieur d’Ostéopathie of Lyon in France. Her introduction to Osteopathy started at an early age with some treatment, and she “magically” got better–or at least that’s what she thought at the time! Her curiosity led her to study what really goes on during an Osteopathic treatment. Helping patients feel better and bringing them to the path of health seemed like the most rewarding job in the world, using her brain, hands, and heart at the same time!

Chloé has expertise in a wide range of techniques: gentle hands-on work, Cranio-sacral therapy (Cranial Osteopathy), visceral manipulation, muscle work, and joint mobilizations. Her depth of skill in many Osteopathic techniques helps her resolve some of her patients’ most complex health conditions and adapt each treatment to the patient’s specific needs. Chloé is always up for a challenge!

“Helping patients recover and get better is like a game of Clue: in order to assist them, an Osteopathic therapist has to find the cause of the patient’s symptoms. The body has all the information stored in, and so we just have to train our hands to read it properly.”

In the different clinics she has worked in, treating babies and kids, mothers, migraine sufferers, patients involved in terrible car accidents or falls, workaholic entrepreneurs, as well as athletes, her patients have experienced a significant decrease in their pain and have benefited from her holistic treatment and her advice on lifestyle, posture, exercises, relaxation, breathing, and dietary recommendations.

Chloé is passionate about Osteopathy and believes that learning is a lifelong journey. That is why she keeps adding to her toolbox to improve her skills in order to help as many patients as possible, which leads her to further her education in Biodynamic Osteopathy by taking courses both in the United States, where she was lucky to study with Dr. James Jealous, as well as in Europe a few times each year.

Chloé is taking a special interest in treating babies and children, and after doing a pediatric post-graduate program in Oregon, she is further pursuing it with part-time, post-graduate programs in Pediatrics with the Switzerland Osteopathic Centre for Children and the Bavarian Pediatric School & Clinic for Traditional Osteopathy in Germany.
